The graphics card requirements are rather broad, only asking for an OpenGL compatible GPU.

We would recommend that your system uses an SSD, since all software benefits from the increased transfer rates. Rhino has no special storage requirements other than at least 500GB of space. A balance of core number and speed then becomes important. If the workstation has to do double duty, you also need to keep multi-threading performance in min. If you are only going to use Rhino for modelling we recommend you get a CPU with the highest clock speed you can afford, even if it has fewer cores. So single-core performance matters very much. However, we have noticed that when used solely for modelling and not rendering Rhino only uses a single thread. Rhino themselves recommend at least a Core i5 quad core, which is fair.

Professional computers should have no less than 16GB of RAM in our opinion. In practice, since RAM is so cheap you should opt for more, especially if any sort of multitasking is going to take place. The working minimum amount of RAM we recommend is therefore 8GB, which is what the typical office machine would be equipped with these days. The only reason you would have to run the 32-bit version of the software is if there is a plugin you need that has not yet been updated, but at this point these are pretty rare. What this means is that the software can access for more RAM than just the 4GB that 32-bit systems support. One of the biggest changes that we have to take account of in the latest version of Rhino is that the application is now a 64-bit executable.
